Former BBC Producer Claims the BBC Has Evolved into a Secular Cult

“Woe to those who enact evil statutes and to those who constantly record unjust decisions.” — Isaiah 10:1

Earlier this May, we highlighted remarks from former BBC News and Current Affairs Director Fran Unsworth, who spoke publicly about what she described as a culture of bias and prejudice within the BBC.

Today, we turn to comments from former BBC producer David Keighley, who argues that the problem runs much deeper than editorial bias.

“The BBC’s editorial culture has become a secular priesthood or cult with a worldview so uniform that it can no longer perceive its own prejudice. From Brexit to Trump, from climate to Gaza, it preaches one moral narrative and damns dissent as heresy. Now the deceit has been exposed from within, and the high priests have fled the altar.

This is a time for reckoning. The BBC’s failure is not merely institutional: it is constitutional. A state-mandated broadcaster that manipulates political reality has betrayed the democratic trust on which it was built.”

For many years, we have maintained that the BBC functions as a cult-like institution, and we believe the issues extend even further than Mr Keighley outlines in these remarks.

You can watch the introduction to our documentary series, first released in June 2024, "Exposing The British Broadcasting Cult," to explore this perspective in greater detail.

Hmm… yes, but it isn’t limited to a secular cult. It’s cult traits and examples go far deeper. The cult of cults; child abusing, deceptive, acting like a law unto themselves literally smearing the likes of Paul S. Waugh, President Trump, Rupert Lowe. They are vile in their arrogance. Talk about an organisation that silences its critics! It’s a sign of the times that more and more former BBC employees are speaking out about this cult!

This is profoundly accurate. As we have been learning, the only true foundation upon which to build is God’s constitution. As demonstrated by the BBC’s constitutional failures and corruption, it is no wonder that it is on its last legs as a world broadcaster.

Thank you for these realities. The BBC has been acting in criminal ways for decades, and the list of its wrongdoings and attacks is far too long to share in a few sentences. The BBC is definitely a secular cult and full of abuse. That’s why a BBC Class Action is so needed to create real change. It’s great to hear that more people are openly speaking about this.

We called out the BBC for being the British Broadcasting Cult about two years ago… just before a number of us were removed from Twitter/X. The reality is that there are a number of people who call out the BBC for being a cult.

The irony is that the BBC staff see themselves as some form of saviours whilst taking a salary from an organisation that has employed numerous paedophiles, child abusers and sexual predators. Yet they decide to try to smear others with the cult label!

This is damning – at least he admits it from 2014 but I think the BBC has been biased and cult like for a lot longer than the last 12 years. Still it’s a start from an ex- BBC employee. Now let’s hope there is so more willing to tell the truth.

This has been said by someone who worked within the walls of the BBC, he has seen for himself exactly who the BBC are to the root. This is damning and highly accurate revelation of the BBC’s character!

Mr Keighley’s comment is very accurate and “betrayed” is definitely the word when it comes to what the BBC have done to the British public as their own broadcaster. The fact they have to force payments from the public and the government are even now looking to force social media companies to push BBC content above others on their platforms is evidence of just how betrayed and abused the public feel. It’s well known in psychology that a core trait of narcissism is projecting themselves onto others while gaslighting them. The BBC will call others cults when they are one of the worst cults in the world and carry on as though they are an angel of light.

What an absolutely damning statement. But it is so clear that indeed the BBC have utterly lost sight of its own prejudice, its own bias and are beyond Pharisaic in their treatment of the public, of those they target and also the subject matter of their coverage itself. I am glad that BBC Inner Eye is exposing that before the BBC EYES anyone else, they need to look at themselves

This is such a profound article, though short, it is to the point. The BBC lie and deceive, they manipulate to the point of “Brain washing” and that is what a cult does. The BBC have been named as the British Broadcasting Cult, for that is what they are.

Thank you for sharing this and for the comment from David Keighely

Well observed, the BBC is very much that what they label others. It’s also not to take this lightly, an organisation that is clandestine for no healthy reason, will breed ill intent. That’s isn’t in the public interest. Too many of these organisation operate in society in areas that affect most people. Thank you for highlighting this.

This is a key statement by the former producer, and I salute his commitment to truth and correcting the public record.
Everyone who has been forced to pay for the BBC needs to know this and is due a refund!
